Originally built in 1880 as four grand, private residences, the Bentley Hotel is housed in a Victorian building with a cream facade. The lobby is opulently designed with marble floors, high ceilings, chandeliers and original architectural details. Generosity and attention to detail are the hallmarks of the 64 guestrooms. Exquisite designs, materials and colours imbue every room with its unique and personal charm. All are spacious, peaceful and beautifully appointed, with silk wallpaper and gilt-edged furniture. They are also clean and impeccably maintained, as are the en suite marble bathrooms, with walk-in showers and jacuzzis. The hotel’s restaurants and bar – “1880”, “Peridot” and “Malachite” – all have a décor or ambience to suit dining needs throughout the day. Guests can begin with a traditional breakfast in the “Peridot” brasserie, a light summery room with refreshing natural daylight and a view of neighbouring residential gardens. The brasserie also offers a light, varied lunch menu and a traditional afternoon tea selection. As well as its award-winning Grazing menu, the “1880” restaurant offers a delightful a la carte selection, tasting menus and fantastic accompanying wines. “Malachite” is the hotel’s cocktail lounge, where guests can enjoy the classics, taste a wide selection of superior drinks or simply listen to the pianist play some rhythmic jazz. The Bentley is also the only hotel in London with an authentic full size Turkish bath. (Formerly the Kempinski Bentley hotel)
